Team Robotics Competition

The Team Robotics Competition is the only industrial robotics competition in Wisconsin, and it's back for its second year at the largest manufacturing technology show in the entire state.

Why participate? Because you'll get to…

  • Test your robotic programming knowledge
  • Compete against other automation and robotics students from around the state
  • Earn prizes for your team and school
  • Network with hundreds of employers who need your programming skills for high-demand, high-wage jobs
  • See incredible industrial technology from some of the most innovative companies

October 5-7, 2021 at the Wisconsin Manufacturing & Technology Show (WIMTS) at Wisconsin State Fair Park.

(Competitors will only need to be present for their registered competition date/time slot.)

Registration is now open! Click the link below to register your team and reserve your time slot. Additional competition details will be sent to registered teams as we draw closer to the competition.

Competition Overview

Teams of up to 3 students will be given three hours to complete a set of tasks on a FANUC Fenceless LR Mate 6-axis education robot. The tasks are aligned to foundational knowledge taught in FANUC’s coursework, so students will be familiar with the objectives.

The objective will test teams' skills in program planning, writing and operation. There will be a separate division for high school and college.

Teams will be judged by a panel of experts on their ability to complete the objective, complexity or efficiency of program, teamwork, and general robotics knowledge.

All Wisconsin high school and college students are encouraged to participate in this competition.

Awards

The winners will be announced in a virtual awards ceremony on Friday, October 8th. All participating teams are welcome to attend.

First place teams in each division will win a grand prize for their school. Second and third place teams will also receive an award.
