UAV Drone Competition Kit by MINDS-i gives students a great opportunity to practice and learn STEM with the exciting addition of a UAV competition. This lab mixes drone building and programming with an additional focus on preparing for classroom, community, state-wide, and national competitions. Each kit supports 2-3 students.

Learning Outcomes

With the UAV Drone Competition Kit, your students will be engaged in a STEM learning environment where they can quickly build, program and modify robots. Students will learn basic drone building and programming. With step-by-step illustrated instructions and a variety of different sample programs, students will be able to calibrate the drone, setting up internal sensors, including:

  • Accelerometer
  • Gyro
  • Compass
  • Barometer

Students will learn collaborative problem-solving and utilize open source Arduino C++ programming.
