The CSM was developed by APT Manufacturing, FANUC America, and Rockwell Automation in direct response to industry’s demand for advanced, smart manufacturing skills, and to help education deliver the training students need to add value to their advanced manufacturing employer on day one.
This program will cover a complete manufacturing line, starting with raw materials and concluding with a finished product. Students will learn how to adjust the equipment for maintenance, production schedules, and cycle times. The program is equipped with RFID tracking to monitor parts throughout the line and features laser marking for part verification, assembly, pack-out, and palletizing. Different operations are wirelessly connected, allowing them to be removed and taught individually in a classroom setting. This setup includes Rockwell PLC, HMI, SMC valve banks, and onboard air compressors. Challenge your students by introducing faults for them to identify using the schematics or tracing wires and consider adding new buttons and functions to the PLC and HMI.
